We never need an excuse to celebrate the ladies, but March 8 is especially significant because it is widely observed as International Women’s Day! A day reserved globally for recognizing issues specific to women across the world, as a time to promote equality and to celebrate the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women!
First held in 1911, IWD has become a global movement towards the empowerment of women across the globe! It’s a great time to share resources and support on social media and in your own communities. One excellent way to show your support for IWD is to donate your time or money to a woman-focused charity in your community!
The theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is Choose to Challenge and is a call for each of us to challenge ourselves to call out and challenge inequality.
